This release adds stickers and custom emoji, and image galleries.

New

Send stickers from the plus menu, using your own pack or the packs a room offers. Add or remove your own stickers there too.
Show custom emoji from other Matrix clients inline in messages.
Show code blocks with horizontal scrolling and a Copy button, and tables as aligned grids.
Collapse long messages to a preview, with Show More to open the full text.
Join a room by alias or room ID from Browse Rooms.
Open the macOS emoji picker from the plus menu.
Send and view gallery messages with several images, videos or files as one message. Turn this on in Labs.

Replies, reactions and polls appear in the conversation faster, and attachments sent with text no longer wait for the text to deliver.
The compose bar is simplified: a plus button leads the field, and a send button appears inside the field once you type. All media-rich types can be sent from the plus menu.
Animated WebP and PNG images play, and the setting is now called Animate Images. Static images load faster.
Stickers display as plain images, without the zoom, download or caption treatment of photos.
The room list waits until the first sync finishes, so it no longer appears with only some of your rooms.
Display name and avatar change messages are clearer.

Rooms are no longer marked as read while Relay is in the background.
Sign-in sessions stay valid across launches when the server refreshes your login.
Some rooms no longer fail to load history when the server leaves out optional details.
Text with spoilers or colors set together is formatted correctly.
The GIF button next to the plus button is gone, since GIFs are in the plus menu.
Fixed a hang caused by parsing certain HTML attributes.
