Relay 0.6.3
New in Relay 0.6.3:
- Browse Rooms — the old Room Directory is now Browse Rooms: search public rooms on your homeserver, or add extra directories in Settings → Account (matrixrooms.info is enabled by default). The window is restyled with a native toolbar — search field, server picker, and Close — plus roomier rows with member counts alongside each room.
- Share into Relay — Relay now appears in the share sheet in Safari and other apps when you share a URL or plain text. Pick a room and the content is pre-filled into the compose box for you to review first; nothing is sent until you press send.
- Mark all as read — a new Edit → Mark All as Read item (⇧⎋) marks every joined room read, including muted ones.
- Upload progress — a slim progress bar above the compose bar shows attachment upload progress while a file is on its way, and clears when it finishes or fails.
- Easier moderation — kicking and banning now accept an optional reason, room topics are selectable text, and the room inspector's About section shows the room version.
- Clearer invites — invite cards now show the room's avatar and name (falling back to the DM peer's profile), and DM invites no longer show a redundant inviter line.
- Sign-in reliability — a suspected token rejection is confirmed with a whoami check before the signed-out alert appears, so ordinary token rotation no longer triggers it. That alert is also non-destructive now: dismissing it re-checks the session, and it offers Try Again next to Sign Out. Legitimate remote sign-outs show a clear alert and return you to the login screen. Crypto ratchet state is flushed to disk when the app quits, so closing Relay at the wrong moment can't lose keys.
- Behind the scenes — keychain saves no longer pass through a delete window that could drop credentials mid-write, and the typing indicator's animation clock stops while rooms are idle.
